Car Plates

In light of the fight against forged car plates, a decision issued by the Minister of Interior and Municipalities in 2017 stated that the Traffic Trucks and Vehicles Management Authority is the exclusive responsible for the supply and distribution of registration plates whether to the Vehicle Registration Authority, the Vehicle Inspection Centers or to the Official Car Plate Dealers.

On January22, 2019 OMT launched, in cooperation with the Traffic Trucks and Vehicles Management Authority, the Car Plate Replacement Fees Settlement Service available through more than 1,400 OMT locations in Lebanon, noting that new car plates are installed at any official car plate dealer.

Check the "Information" section to learn about the documents required and click here for details about the Official Car Plate Dealers.
