A sporting partnership unites Al Riyadi Club and OMT

Al Riyadi Club and OMT reaffirmed their commitment to supporting sports and Lebanese youth by announcing their partnership for the 2024-2025 season at a press conference held at the club’s headquarters in Manara, in the presence of Al Riyadi Club President Eng. Mazen Tabbara, Chairman of OMT, Mr. Hikmat Abou Zeid; Executive Vice Chairman of OMT, Ms. Joya Mouawad; and the team members.

During his speech, Tabbara highlighted the importance of this partnership, which began with the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, where Al Riyadi Club made history as the first Lebanese team to compete and secured fourth place. He also emphasized the crucial role of the private sector in supporting basketball and sports clubs, highlighting its wider impact on the development of sports in Lebanon. Then, Tabbara thanked OMT for its support and expressed his hopes for the team’s continued success and future championships.

Abou Zeid also highlighted the significance of this step, stating: “We are proud of this initiative, which reflects our belief in the vital role the private sector plays in supporting sports and the Lebanese community.” He also emphasized basketball’s unifying impact on both Lebanese residents and expatriates. Additionally, he reaffirmed OMT’s commitment to empowering Lebanese youth, whether through its corporate social responsibility initiatives or services like the launch of OMT Pay.

As a symbolic gesture, Tabbara presented OMT with a signed Al Riyadi Club team jersey, followed by a group photo with the team to commemorate the occasion.
